PDI Demo Reel

This is a small sample of the work I did at Pacific Data Images. Back in the day when you were assigned to a project, you pretty much had to do everything yourself, from modeling, animation, lighting, effects, and compositing. Later there was a bit more differentiation, where I was responsible for everything except for the character animation. I developed many new techniques written in PDI's scripting language, which was similar to "C" programming. For example the cat face animation in the demo reel was created using a procedural morphing technique. I created the character animation system used to animate Gas Planet. This was completely written in PDI's language called "script." The concepts used in this system were later incorporated into the PDI character animation pipeline. For an expandable version of the reel click: Expandable Demo Reel
