Computer Graphics Research Group
I was fortunate to be a graduate research assistant working for "the father of computer art and animation," Charles Csuri. It was an exciting time to be involved in computer animation. Dr. Frank Crow was a professor at Ohio State and was developing a new renderer complete with anti-aliasing, highlights, transparency and texture mapping. Computer graphics was so new that if I created an interesting image it would be published in books, magazines or included in an art show. These animations where created by scripting, there was no motion system, rendering could take days, and the only way to see your work was to shoot it frame by frame to film. The work here was created at CGRG, but was re-rendered and shot digitally at C/CP. For a larger version of demo reel click here.
